Each physical thermocouple probe must be mapped to a zone (1-6).
Heat-detect protocol (mirrors scripts/identify_tcs.py):
pick a zone, Capture Baseline, grip the probe you want for that zone
(skin contact for ~15 s), then Detect. The probe with the largest rise
(≥ 2°C above baseline) is auto-assigned. Repeat for each zone, then
Save Mapping. Saved mappings take effect within ~10 seconds (next sensor loop cycle).

2-Point Cal (recommended): record two reference temperatures (e.g. ice bath 0°C and hot water 50°C) for a linear correction. Quick Cal: single-point offset using one reference. Both methods auto-apply — no service restart needed.

Tare: clear the scale, click Tare. Calibrate: place a known weight, type its mass in kg, click Calibrate. The running scale picks up the new tare/factor automatically — no service restart needed.
Empty the table, click Tare All. Then place a known total weight at the center of the table and enter its mass — we split equally across the 4 corner cells.
